I found out the hard way that you do not begin every career at the top. I have had my heart set on video production since I was a little boy. But I quickly realized I had a ton to learn.
I was already one of those hard headed children that thought I knew everything about everything, so for me to grow into an adult and realize I really don’t was a big pill to swallow. Instead of me making it big on the production scene right out of college, I took a video production assistant job so I could learn the trade, hands on. Although I learned plenty in school, I still needed the hands on work to get the feel of the field. I was not sure what type of production I wanted to go into, but I sure was hoping that this would give me some idea at least.
