There are some very cool Garmin updates this year including new maps, new voices, and various third party POIs. My personal fave is the Yoda and Star Wars voices which can be loaded onto the GPS. It took Garmin a little while to get there though, because TomTom had already released these new voice files. But the wait was worth it – and I can’t get enough of Yoda telling me where to drive!

Other Garmin updates available include the latest maps and addresses, but these get released at least three times every year, so that’s no big news in itself. Oh, and something else I really like is being able to change the blue car icon on my Garmin Nuvi screen – I’ve opted to use a speedboat because that’s another one of my hobbies.

Check the Garmin website for updates as there might be a vehicle icon that your really like that suits you and your character.
