Companies that use powder filling equipment to fill up packages have to make sure the things they use are god. The main reason is they need these devices to fill up the packages that they are going to sell to their customers. The weight that is marked on the bags needs to be the same amount that is actually in the packages and that is the responsibility of the filling machine. If it is not accurate one of two things is going to happen, and neither one of them are very good to have happen.
If the machine is overfilling it will cost the company. Being off by a tenth of an ounce may not should like much but if the assembly line is putting out ten thousand packages a day, it can quickly add up. If the machine under fill there is a chance the customers might not notice, but if it is discovered the company could face serious liability issues. That is why the companies need to check their filling equipment regularly to make sure it is accurate.
