Gluten-free diets are recommended for people who have been diagnosed with the Celiac disease. This type of diets is essential because this disease will not allow the person’s body to properly break down gluten protein. Unfortunately, gluten can be found in many foods that people eat on a daily basis. This means the person that has this condition will have to become very familiar with the foods that they can and cannot eat. This substance can be found in wheat, rye, and barley. Therefore, these types of foods should be eliminated from the person’s diet. However, there is still a host of other foods that can be safely consumed and they include fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, poultry and fish. Since most people like to snack from time to time, some manufactures have produced gluten free chips and gluten-free cookies. There are also other snacks available that are naturally gluten free and they include plain Hershey bars, skittles, tootsie rolls and candy corn.
