It must be heart crushing when you see your own child experiencing epilepsy symptoms at a very tender age. Even the most severe seizures associated with epilepsy can be diagnosed at a very young age. The worst part of it is that until now, there is no definite drugs or cures for epilepsy. Since epilepsy is a neurological disorder rather than an illness, more often than not, there may be times that the seizures may fall back again even after a while without experiencing any symptoms. Seeing your child having seizures, his body suddenly stiffens, he loses his consciousness and he has convulsions may be too much to bear. But you can help in your own little way by staying calm during his seizures. Reassure others that everything will be okay. Also, since seizures attack in the most unpleasant times, it is better to keep your child safe all the time. Remove all sharp objects around him and do not allow him to play alone.
