I am an aspiring athlete and during the school holidays I go away and take part in training camps. Sometimes these training camps are at venues here in England and sometimes they are over seas. I like to get away to do them, although it is not always easy to find a sponsor to fund each trip. However, as someone that is billed as having ‘big potential’ to make it to the next Olympics in a few years time, people are always interested in considering me for a sponsorship. When I am away training I always have to look after myself and one way to do this is to ensure that I drink a lot of water and to also eat a lot of bananas. There are hardly any banana calories to worry about and they are also a brilliant source of immediate energy so I eat them at various intervals during training.
